Eight teams of researchers (consisting of undergrads, graduate students, postdoctoral researchers and research scientists) were assigned a theme, from which they developed a research plan, wrote a paper, and presented a 20 minute talk on the day of the GSC Retreat. They took questions from the audience and the GSC senior scientist panel in attendance and were evaluated based on their science and presentation skills.
