Postdoctoral Fellow, Autophagy, Cancer and Drosophila Genetics

The Gorski laboratory at the British Columbia Cancer Agency in Vancouver, BC, Canada, invites applications for a Postdoctoral position. We combine Drosophila and mouse models along with human cell lines and tissue specimens to study the regulation and roles of autophagy in normal development and in cancer (see http://www.bcgsc.ca/faculty/sgorski). The proposed project will include both Drosophila and mammalian models to study autophagy signaling pathways and potential points of therapeutic intervention.
Eligibility: We are looking for a highly motivated, team-oriented and recent PhD graduate with a strong publication record. Previous experience in Drosophila is required and experience in molecular biology, protein biochemistry and cell culture is preferred.
