The Genome Sciences Centre now provides an
Ensembl mirror .
Ensembl is an open source software system which produces
and maintains automatic annotation on eukaryotic genomes.
Ensembl is a joint project between EMBL - EBI and the Sanger Institute. Ensembl is primarily funded by the Wellcome Trust. Access to all the data produced by the project, and to the software used to analyse and present it, is provided free and without constraints. The Genome Sciences Centre mirror will provide faster access to the Ensembl data for those who are geographically close to Vancouver, BC, Canada.
